corporate yoga AND PILATES in MELBOURNE
I’m a huge advocate of workplace wellness programs. My passion for teaching corporate yoga classes stems from a serious spinal injury that slowly developed following years of desk jobs and bad posture. Thanks to a continuous yoga practice my back pain is gone, and I am stronger and more flexible with a much better awareness of my postural habits. I truly enjoy sharing my knowledge and I love teaching yoga to office workers in and around Melbourne in order to help them feel better, move better and manage stress better.
I am an E-RYT with Yoga Alliance (Experienced Registered Yoga Teacher), have studied with the best yoga schools and teachers, and have also completed a Pilates course through the Australian Institute for Physiotherapy and Pilates. Whether you are looking for a one-off yoga session for a corporate event in Melbourne or weekly in-office/livestream sessions, I’d love to help you.

Benefits of Yoga for office workers and high performers
I believe it takes more than a quick fix and a couple of desk stretches to reduce the health hazards that come with workplace stress and prolonged desk work. Long hours in front of a computer and hunching over a smartphone will inevitably take its toll on your employees’ physical and mental wellbeing. The evidence of health concerns may not be visible straight away, but just like my spinal injury, they will manifest slowly and steadily. And when they do, it’s often a long road to recovery. Carpal tunnel syndrome, text neck, back pain and tight shoulders are some of the most common issues described by my corporate yogis.
To truly discover the physical, emotional and mental benefits of yoga, I believe consistency is key. Whereas a one-off yoga class at a corporate event is a fun way of team building, regular yoga classes for your employees will provide them with many - if not all - of the advantages that the practice has to offer. And when employees thrive, so will the organisations they work for. I teach Vinyasa yoga, Yin yoga, Pilates, Yogalates (Pilates and yoga combo), and offer guided meditations such as Yoga Nidra, which is a deeply relaxing body scan.
I’ve listed the most important benefits of yoga for office workers and companies below:

benefits of meditation for office workers
Unlike some popular beliefs, meditation is not about ‘emptying the mind’ or ‘clearing the mind’.
It is very very difficult to do this as our mind is used to producing images, thoughts and memories. Meditation is a way to observe ourselves and our thoughts, and it can be used as a tool to train our mind to focus on one thing at a time. This point of focus is often our breath. When we feel our mind drifting to future happenings or worries of our past, meditation helps us to redirect our attention back to our breath over and over again. We are essentially training our mind to be more aware of our thoughts and emotions, and over time we are able to control our thoughts and improve our focus. This is especially useful in fast-paced work environments where employees tend to multi-task and manage several projects at once. Mindfulness meditation will also help your staff to:
reduce stress and anxiety
create more breathe awareness
teach how to breathe correctly (yes, there are wrong ways of breathing)
increase creativity and productivity
improve self-awareness
fight fatigue
improve their concentration skills
improve the quality of sleep
manage chronic pain
improve their memory
boost happiness levels

I first met Sab last year. I was looking for an instructor to lead a virtual yoga class for my workplace in honour of Women's History Month. The content on her site really resonated with me as a practitioner so I reached out to her with my request. She was happy to work with me in creating a special class that would be accessible across a spectrum of fitness levels. Her class was just what I had envisioned, excellently done, and was extremely well received by my colleagues. We are thrilled that she'll be leading classes for us again this year! Not only is Sab an amazing yoga instructor, she is so friendly and down-to-earth - simply an all-around lovely person.

Absolutely love Sab's yoga. Her teaching style is perfect for all skill levels. She has a great way of explaining all the poses and body positions in a clear, simple way so even the newest Yogi can understand them, but also adds extra challenges for those more advanced. She is happy to answer questions and offer tips on what to visualise with the poses and how to perform them better. Definitely noticing increased mobility and a better sleep, so highly recommend :)

I've had various yoga instructors and teachers in the past, but none have been able to explain the intent and benefit of each movement or pose as well as Sab can! Those little tips and micro-adjustments make a big difference to many of the yoga poses and movements that I have been doing for years, and it breathes new life into them. I think I can speak for our staff that all of us really, really enjoy Sab's yoga classes - so important considering how much time we spend sitting down at our desks! Thank you Sab!

I found Sab's yoga classes when the company I work for provided a weekly online yoga session for everyone (no prior experience required). I loved the weekly classes so much and wanted to practice more regularly so I've joined Sab's online yoga library. I can now fit in my yoga practice whenever I like and there is a huge range of classes available for viewing, catering for all levels. Sab has a unique way of making yoga accessible and fun, while helping you build strength, mobility and flexibility. I'm hooked!

Really enjoying Sab's corporate yoga classes. Her classes are always different with options given for beginners and more advanced levels. I've noticed a huge improvement in my posture when sitting /standing at my desk. Do yourself a favour (and your team!) and just book a session :) Thank you, Sab! Looking forward to the next class.
